22 September Sosyal Park in the town of Ezine is a municipally run social facility that takes its name from the date of the town’s liberation during the War of Independence on 22 September 1922, a day still commemorated each year with ceremonies and community events. The present-day park and complex were officially opened on 20 December 2022 and are owned by Ezine Municipality, being operated through its wholly owned company Ezine 22 Eylül Destek Turizm Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited.
Locally it is often referred to as the Erenler or Esentepe social facility and is set in a landscaped green space with terraces, seating areas and a children’s play zone. Situated on the Geyikli road just below the Erenler neighbourhood, it provides a pleasant open-air setting while remaining close to the town centre. The café and restaurant within the park are designed as a welcoming, family-friendly venue with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is broad, ranging from light snacks and drinks to fuller meals, and the venue is popular for its good value and relaxed atmosphere. Opening hours generally run from eight in the morning until midnight and the space is also suitable for hosting small gatherings or celebrations.
The park forms part of a wider network of social amenities developed by the municipality under the “22 September” name, which also includes the Millet Bahçesi, a landscaped public garden, and 22 Eylül Destek Turizm, a children’s amusement area that opened in April 2023. Together these facilities reflect the municipality’s investment in creating green spaces and leisure opportunities for local people. The naming of the complex serves as a reminder of Ezine’s history and the importance of 22 September in the civic identity of the town.
Ezine’deki 22 Eylül Sosyal Parkı, 22 Eylül 1922’de Kurtuluş Savaşı sırasında kentin düşman işgalinden kurtuluşunun anısına adını almış belediyeye ait bir sosyal tesistir. Bu tarih her yıl törenler ve çeşitli etkinliklerle kutlanmaya devam etmektedir. Günümüzdeki park ve tesis 20 Aralık 2022’de resmî olarak açılmış olup Ezine Belediyesi’ne aittir ve tamamen belediyeye bağlı Ezine 22 Eylül Destek Turizm Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi tarafından işletilmektedir.
Halk arasında Erenler veya Esentepe Sosyal Tesisi olarak da bilinen mekân, oturma alanları, terasları ve çocuk oyun parkıyla düzenlenmiş yeşil bir alanda yer almaktadır. Geyikli yolu üzerinde, Erenler Mahallesi’nin hemen altında bulunan konumu sayesinde şehir merkezine yakın olmasına rağmen ferah ve açık havada vakit geçirme imkânı sunmaktadır. Park içindeki kafe ve restoran, aileler için samimi ve rahat bir ortam oluşturmak amacıyla tasarlanmış olup hem kapalı hem de açık oturma alanlarına sahiptir. Menü oldukça geniştir; hafif yiyecekler ve içeceklerden tam öğünlere kadar pek çok seçenek sunulmakta, fiyatların uygunluğu ve atmosferin sakinliğiyle öne çıkmaktadır. Genellikle sabah saat sekizden gece yarısına kadar hizmet veren tesis, küçük kutlamalar veya özel günler için de tercih edilmektedir.
Park, belediyenin “22 Eylül” adı altında geliştirdiği daha geniş sosyal alanlar ağının bir parçasıdır. Bu ağ içinde Millet Bahçesi adıyla düzenlenen yeşil alan ile 23 Nisan 2023’te açılan çocuk eğlence merkezi EZPARK da yer almaktadır. Bu yatırımlar, belediyenin halka yeşil alanlar ve sosyal yaşam imkânları kazandırma çabasının bir göstergesidir. Tesisin adı, Ezine’nin tarihi ve 22 Eylül’ün kentin kimliğindeki önemi açısından da ayrı bir anlam taşımaktadır.
